Does anyone know what weather to expect on the Camino in October and November?

There was a website that was my favourite one to check as I walked along the Camino. I could see what predicted temperatures were, what the likelihood of rainfall was etc.

I am so grateful to the person who put this particular website together!

There is also a page on the site that summarises weather, on a monthly basis, for several points along the Camino.

So if you look up October and November on the charts it will give you an idea of the weather. However, averages do not always apply: as one who is not overly fond of walking in too much heat, I was quite pleased to end up walking this June although the locals seemed to be complaining it was much colder than normal!
One other thing about walking in November that you may already be aware of... not all albergues are open all year... quite a few are seasonal, and will close by the beginning of November.

Maragret is giving good advice about albergues closing in November - last year I noticed that not only did the seasonal ablergues close but a number of others had some days off and closed at the end of the busy period. But there were always enough beds even if it meant walking on to the next village.

Here is a site with good description of the climatic zones and max-min for the locations and months you choose:

This is an amazingly informative site of Camino info

I would expect rainy and windy weather, and cold with may be some snow at mountains (Roncesvalles, Cruz de Ferro, Cebreiro).

But actually you can find any surprising weather on this months,

Buen Camino,

Two days of rain in Leon in October 2007. Three days of rain in November 2007.
Two days of rain in Santiago in October 2007. Six days of rain in November 2007.
It depends on where you are!
