Santiago to Poland?

Postby kubapigora on 11 Sep 2008, 16:04

Hello from Arzua- one day walk from Monte do Gozo (yes, we have almost made it).
Can anyone of you tell me how to get out from Santiago and get to Poland cheaply and quickly? Do you know of any travel agents organising bus trips to Poland or bus companies traveling to Poland?
Please help!
Kuba.

I looked online at Easy jet http://easyjet.com/EN/Book/
They have flights from Madrid to london (around 75 euros) and from london to warsaw (another 75 euros).

Yo can get to London (Stanstedt) from Santiago with http://www.ryanair.com. I don't think either Ryanair or EasyJet flies to Warshaw from Stansted (Ryanair flies to Lodz), so you might have to change airport.

There are travel agencies in Santiago, but I think you can get better deals online. Your problem is that you are going to get a one-way ticket, and on "regular" airlines you will pay extra for that. On the low coast airlines they do not charge extra for that.

I would look at these low-cost airlines:
http://www.ryanair.com
http://www.easyjet.com
http://www.vueling.es
http://www.clickair.es
.. and see if you can stitch together a route with them.

Alternatively fly Ryanair to London then buy a ticket on a "regular" airline (British Airways and so on) from London.

Saludos,
Ivar

Hola Kuba,

Try the Sinbad Coach lines:

Private Travel Office SINDBAD was established in April 1983, and now is one of the oldest and the biggest travel office on Poland. Our main activity is an International Coach Line transport, outgoing and incoming tourism, and sport events.
Nowadays SINDBAD is one of the biggest coach transport company in this part of Europe, and for certain a leader in this business in Poland. We have over 70 comfortable, well equipped coaches SETRA, with the averate age 2,5 years, we employ over 300 people, and as a tour operator we offer a holidays in Spain, Croatia and the Island of Thassos. Looks like a one way ticket is from 149 euro from Madrid. http://mail.sindbad.pl/rozklady/r7.pdf

Iberia - Santiago to Warsaw 360,78 euro
Spanair 760 euro

Looks like the Santiago to London - London to Warsaw is your best bet.
Good luck Kuba - hope everything is OK in Poland?
Sil
