Some sites and books for riders.

http://www.pilgrimriders.com/ and http://pilgrimagepublications.com/welcome.htm Paul Chinn and Babette Gallard’s sites from which their book “Riding the Milky Way” published in 2006 can be purchased.

http://www.csj.org.uk/horse.htm is the Confraternity of St James’s page for riders. It has many items of information for the rider including: The Way of Saint James on horseback: the complete guide by Javier Pascual. Madrid, 2002. 238pp a guide for horse riders in English (translated from Spanish) for the Camino Francés, with lists of vets, blacksmiths etc

A Canter to St James by Robin Hanbury-Tennison, 1990, is a good read though difficult to get hold of.
