For a list of the latest posts since your last visit, visit this link (bookmark it maybe?):
search.php?search_id=newposts
For a list of the latest activities in the forum, visit this link:
search.php?search_id=active_topics
... you will find these links just under the "Current time" towards the top on the forum front page.
