Fundación Catedral de Santiago

El Correo Gallego reports that a new foundation to help fund the cathedral will be officially set up this evening. The objective is to provide funds to maintain the services in the cathedral and meet the needs of the ever-increasing number of pilgrims without introducing entry charges, though there's also talk of funding restoration projects. Among the contributors will be the archbishopric, the Xunta and Santiago council, and it will be 'very simple for any individual or organisation to contribute'.

Typically, I could find no mention of this on the archbishopric website, and Googling 'Fundación Catedral de Santiago' only finds the ECG article. More tomorrow, perhaps . . .
