Access to scaffold during Portico restoration

El Correo Gallego reports that the public will be allowed access to part of the scaffolding to be erected shortly for the restoration of the Portico de la Gloria, meaning you'll be able to see the tympanum at eye level. I assume this is the first time this will have been possible. The report talks of 'guided tours' so presumably access will be controlled, in groups only. The work is due to commence shortly and continue into 2009, ready for the 2010 Holy Year.
