Vueling?

A few months ago, there was talk about "Vueling starting a new route to Santiago in the spring". Well, spring is here... and then some.

The newspapers are quiet on this topic, I hope negotiations has not stranded. If they have, they may not announce it until after the elections in Galicia (this Sunday June 19th).

I read some "Vueling reviews" here:

...and it looks like a good airline.

The route that was talked about was a Santiago - Barcelona route. This would create another low-cost route to Santiago, since it is easy to connect with other low-cost-airlines in Barcelona.

I will keep my eyes and ears open and let you know when I know. Let's cross our fingers.

Take it for granted in the summer. It will be the end of Air Nostrum in the airport. Regionals canŽt compete low costs.

It seems Vueling have applied for slots for a new service Santiago-Madrid at the end of the year.

Vueling yesterday confirmed they will be starting flights Santiago-Madrid on October 29 http://www.lavozdegalicia.es/ed_santiag ... TO=5010868
Not yet on their website though.
