Question about the PM function

Postby peregrina2000 on 14 Jul 2008, 20:24

I am admittedly a technological idiot, so those of you who are experts should feel pity for me. I have had trouble using the PM function recently. Can someone explain the difference between "outbox" and "sent messages"? I had never noticed the outbox before, but for whatever reason, the two PMs I've recently tried to send have gone there, rather than to my "sent messages" box. All of my other sent messages seem to have gone straight to sent messages. I'm assuming that I am unintentionally doing something different that I didn't use to do, but I have no idea what that could be or, for that matter, whether it makes any difference. All suggestions appreciated, sorry to be so dense, Laurie

as I recall, it goes into Outbox until the person concerned reads it - then it moves to Sent Msgs

Yes, that is how it works. I know it is a bit confusing, but this way you can see if the receiver has read your message.
