Pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela

Hi all,

Last year we talked about creating a forum badge, and one of our members created the pin-badge that some of you have been using to find other forum members while on the camino.

Well, now I have finally decided on a design and have ordered woven forum badges. These can be sown onto jackets or backpacks.

I am not sure when I will receive these, I am hoping within a few weeks (coming from a UK company, the same the CSJ uses for their badge). Once I have these I will be selling them from the forum site, but more on that later.

I just wanted to let you know, if you are thinking of getting a badge for your walk this year

That is great Ivar. Do you have a picture or is it the same as the pin on button badge?

No, don't have a picture of it... will post one once I have the badges here. It is based on the forum logo, blue background with a yellow arrow.

I'm interested too, if they arrive in time for me to get one before I leave for Europe. I'll want one anyway but it would be great to get it before I leave. Fingers crossed. Just a thought but will we be able to use the make a donation button to pay for it and shipping costs through PayPal?

Yes, that is the plan. I was in contact with the company that makes them, and they told me I would have them about March 16th.

Would it be interesting for anyone if I added a scallop shell as well? There is a lady at the marked in old town that sells the pilgrim shell (Vieiras) and I thought I could buy some from here and ship it with the badge if this might be of interest...
